Preparation Instructions:
This cashew butterscotch cookies recipe is simple to make, and extremely delicious. To begin first you will need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius. Next take out a large cookie sheet, and grease it with real butter. Moving right along, next take out a medium size mixing bowl, and then add in the white all purpose baking flour, baking soda, table salt, quick oats, and fresh ground cinnamon. Sift all of these ingredients together until you have an even distribution of ingredients. Next take out a second mixing bowl, and then add in the butter and dark brown sugar. Beat these ingredients together until a light and creamy batter is formed. Once you are done with that step, add in the vanilla extract and egg, and again briskly stir the ingredients together. The mixing can be done very easily using an electric mixer. Finally you can combine the contents of both mixing bowls, and vigorously stir the contents together until a nice and firm cookie dough is formed. Toss in your butterscotch chips and crushed cashews, and then mix them into the dough thoroughly. You are now ready to begin placing clumps of the dough on to your greased cookie sheet. Do leave enough room between each dough clump so that your cookies can expand. Once the sheet is loaded with dough, slide it into the oven to bake for eight to twelve minutes, or until the cookies are a light golden color. That's a wrap for this recipe.
